There was a tattoo. ‘Mirage Enterprises,’ read Bernice. ’ The Doctor looked momentarily troubled. ‘Is. ’ she asked. ‘No, it’s never been alive. It’s a machine.
You are trying to trick me. ’ She sat down forcefully and found herself almost falling off the raft. Spike pushed at the branch and continued to navigate their way down the river. She wouldn’t be able to survive on her own. There had to be an answer. She began to cry. This was not the way it was meant to be. Bernice was trying to understand the artificial man. He had vowed to kill her but hadn’t done so yet. She concluded that the return of ‘Pandora’s Box’ was more important than her death. At least she had someone with her who had some information about the planet; with that she could perhaps find her way back to the Doctor and then the TARDIS.
